Our Technical Support Department is here to work with you to resolve any problems you may encounter with our product. We have provided this page to help answer some of the most frequently asked questions.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Q: I cannot install the CD product?

A: The CD is not designed to be installed. The program SmartCD.EXE will run off the CD without taking up your hard disk space.

Q: How can I access a program when the RUN and INSTALL buttons are both disabled?

A: If the RUN and INSTALL buttons are both disabled, the program was not intended to run on the current operating system.
for example: A program designed for Windows 95 will not run under Windows 3.1

Q: I installed a program, but the RUN button is still disabled on the CD, now what?

A: When you install a program, it is copied to your hard-drive. You should find it on your [Start] menu in Windows 95, or in a program group for Windows 3.1.

Q: Some games do not have sound, why is that?

A: Our software is setup as a default for Sound Blaster with standard setting. If your sound card is not a true Sound Blaster, you may encounter problems. Even if your card is a 100% compatible you may encounter these problems. The solution is to install the software to your computer's hard drive then run the sound setup program to ensure proper configuration.

Q: I cannot run a program because the RUN button is not active?

A: Some programs require the ability to write to themselves, such as a high score list in a game. Unfortunately it is not possible to write to a CD-ROM (Read Only Memory).

Q: During installation of a program, I receive an error message, "Writing disk error"?

A: This message states that your computer hard drive is full. Remove any unnecessary files to free-up hard disk space to allow the programs to install. (Note: for Windows 95 and 98, it is highly recommended to keep at least 100MB of hard-disk space available at all times)

Q: What is Direct X, and how can I get it?

A: Direct X is a set of drivers that allow games and other programs to run more efficiently in Windows. They allow programs to bypass Windows and communicate directly with the video card and sound card. Because they communicate directly with your card, it is important to have the latest drivers for your sound and video cards before installing Direct X. Contact the manufacturer to obtain the latest drivers for your particular card.
